Organic legumes value chain with Nutrinat (Occitanie, France)

The case study focuses on the French company Nutrinat’s activities on organic legumes. The project gives the opportunity to point out the role of a SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) in the value chain of legumes. It deals with the following issues.
- How the processing SME is integrated in the value chain and its different actors (farmers, collectors, food industry, and customers)?
- What are the main levers and barriers for developing and increasing its activity?
- How innovation and development of new products can be stimulated?
- How this SME can play a role on raising awareness on the benefits of legumes consumption and increase consumers acceptance?
- Starting from a regional activity (Occitanie region in France), how this SME can develop exportation and reach European market?
